I just got an email from Aeroplan offering 2,000 miles off a short-haul flight in Economy or Executive Class. Redeem before the 31st of March for travel in the next 12 months.
I'm not sure if this offer is open to everyone, but if it doesn't work for you, drop me an email!
To quote Air Canada:
"Air Canada said today that it will implement changes to its checked baggage policy on flights within Canada, and between Canada and the U.S. including Hawaii, effective May 15, 2008 for travel on or after July 15, 2008.
Air Canada added fuel surcharges on to fares for domestic flights and US routes to cover higher fuel costs. For North American flights, the surcharge is $20, $40 or $60 depending on the distance flown, effective immediately. That is in addition to surcharges already in place for flights overseas. The transborder surcharge matches those already announced by many US carriers, Air Canada claimed.
