Okay, I admit it, I like to cruise. But have you heard about EasyCruise? Stelios, who is famous in Great Britain for EasyJet and a lot of other businesses that start with Easy (including EasyInternet, which I have used in Spain for Internet access) also has a cruise line. Okay, it has his normal horrible orange decor but let's face it, it's a cheap way to travel around the Greek Islands.
This is the season for last-minute transatlantic cruise deals. And the CHEAPEST of the deals that I have seen is the USD$499 inside cabin on the RCI Legend of the Seas for a 15 night cruise. That's right... I'll say it again, that's USD$499 for 15 nights, that's just over USD$33 a night. Okay, so you need a one-way ticket to Barcelona and another from the Dominican, but if you take the time to look, you can get some great deals. And NCL has $299 for 9 days from Barcelona to Boston.
Yes, it's official, RCI, Carnival, NCL and others (including their associated brands) have all added a fuel surcharge.
My friend Marla called a few days ago and we were talking about her latest vacation with Club Med and she mentioned to me that she just realized that cruises are not all-inclusive. (She's likely to complain about being mentioned on my blog again, though).
Okay, it's official, I'm back from vacation and I guess I have to do some catching up. First things first... don't book a cruise with Princess in Canadian Dollars! Princess has steadfastly refused to adjust their exchange rate.
