The summer is around the corner and parents are planning their vacations with their children and people now start to have to think about how to afford a vacation and where to go.
This year with the costs of travel being so expensive, you may have to think outside of the box.

One great idea is a home exchange with someone in a nearby city. The idea is to trade homes so you are really on vacation and you don't do the same things that you would normally do.
You can fly to some place that is cheaper that other areas. Think outside of the box and consider going to places that are out of season. Florida or Cuba in the summer, Montreal or Vancouver in the Winter. How about going to Charleston, SC for vacation?
There are plenty of inexpensive things you can do if you think outside the box. How about going on a door handle safari. Everyone gets a camera and you have to roam the streets looking for the most unusual door handle or door knocker. Touring neighbourhoods instead of the main tourist haunts. Visiting a cometary. Or look at some unusual museums that don't charge, like a bank's coin museum.
